Objectives

To foster ‘clinical psychology experts’ with outstanding scientific competence and practical skills based on scientist-practitioner model.

To foster ‘counseling psychology experts’ with strong practical skills to solve psychological problems of individuals, assist growth, and contribute to social development.

To foster ‘art therapy experts’ with strong practical skills to promote healthy psychological development in individuals, assist adaptation and growth, and contribute to community.

- Clinical Psychology : Psychological Test and Neuropsychological Test Practice Linked with CHA Hospital, Dementia Center, and Counseling Center
Counseling Psychology : Counseling and Mentoring Activities Linked with Elementary, Middle, and High School, Ministry of Education, and Youth Center
Art Therapy : Over 40 hours of practice and supervision by art therapist
Art Rehabilitation : Over 100 hours of practice and supervision by art therapist (provided, practice for children with disability shall be over 40 hours)
- PSYCHE
- PSYCHE is an academic club that pursues understanding of overall psychology and knowledge cultivation, and it conducts at least two psychological studies. The research results are announced on school forum, external contests (Korea Association of Counseling Department), and international conferences (American Psychological Association (APA)).
- Beomharang
- Beomharang is a club that explores criminal psychology-related fields. This club was named by combining “Beom” which means criminal psychology and “Harang” which means to fly high together. So, it means to fly high together with club members who seek to explore criminal psychology fields. It is involved in cyber violence prevention campaign, victim support campaign, card news making, and criminal psychology research activities.
- Here and Now
- Hear and Now is a club that explores art therapy fields. It means to hear the story of counselee hear and now with the art therapist. It explores various art therapy media and plans and executes art therapy programs.

- To utilize clinical psychological knowledge and conduct psychological evaluation, psychological therapy counseling, psychological rehabilitation, and psychological advice for mental health of people.

- The expansion of 4th Industrial Revolution is likely to accelerate polarization and increase numbers of isolated people with psychological difficulties. Thus, there will be increasing demand for clinical psychologists.
- The related market is rapidly growing and employment is expanding to large hospitals and public institutes. Thus, there will be increasing employment demand for clinical psychologists.
Counseling Psychology
Duties
- To assist and guide individuals to improve individual or group's psychological maturity and social adaptation ability and to provide counseling, psychological advice, and psychological education to individuals or groups with psychological maladjustment.
Future Prospects
- The increasing attention and social demand for mental health resulted in steady increase in employment of counseling psychologists, and it is expected to record continuous growth.
- The counseling industry is specialized in each field at advanced countries, including the United States. In addition, counseling industry subdivided based on industrial characteristics, demand group, and psychological problems is expected to increase related jobs.
Art Therapy
Duties
- The creative art activities are utilized to express emotions or internal world based on art therapy theories and understanding of individual development, emotion, and psychology in order to alleviate emotional conflicts and psychological symptoms and promote self-understanding and self-growth to assist smooth, adaptive, and creative life.
Future Prospects
- The increasing attention and social demand for mental health resulted in steady increase in employment of art therapists, and it is expected to record continuous growth.
- The Korean art therapy-related policies closely work with Korea Arts & Culture Education Service to focus on diagnosis, intervention, and therapeutic intervention of specific problems, active psychological, emotional, and preventive care.
