This course compares and evaluates the positive and negative effects of body activities from health science and exercise science aspects to explore skills and knowledge for maintaining and promoting health and developing performance. This course aims to enhance understanding of sports medicine by learning new basic and applied science information that enhances athletic performance and improves quality of life.
2 1 Exercise Physiology Core Sports Medicine Major Elective 3 To understand functions of each vital system, including cell, nerve, muscle, sense, cardiac, circulatory, blood, immune, respiratory, urinary, endocrine, and reproductive system. In this course, students will learn the functional structure and unique functions of each system, including mechanism of fluids and electrolytes, digestion, and absorption and homeostasis.

2 1 Summer Sports Injury and Treatment Practice General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 2 Summer sports (aquatic sports) are beneficial for health maintenance and promotion, recreation, and mental health, such as stress and depression. However, summer sports involve potential risks. So, its significance lies in prevention and coping with possible accidents. This course aims to foster practical salvage skills for coping with safety accidents in waters and to build up skills to save lives of people and prevent injuries in cases of accident.
2 2 Emergency Medicine and First Aid Core Sports Medicine Major Elective 3 The first aid and CPR are one of the most important fields in modern medical service. In response, this course aims to teach emergency medicine, first aid, and CPR-related scientific medical knowledge and practical skills to protect health and life of emergent patients. This course covers basic medical science, emergency medicine, and related medical theories as well as practical skills for actual emergent situations.

2 2 Kinetics General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 Kinetics is the study of learning basic knowledge for scientific visualization of body movement mechanism and learning and researching efficient body movement. After completing this course, students will be able to learn anatomical knowledge, including human skeleton and muscular system, analyze body movement from mathematical and physical perspectives, and come up with scientific evidence for human exercise analysis and efficient movement applied in actual sports fields.
2 2 Exercise Nutrition Core Clinical Exercise Major Elective 3 To learn the most suitable general diet for individuals, quality and amount of diet suitable for different body activities, and metabolic process during exercise to understand the most adequate nutritional method for improving health and motion performance.
2 2 Exercise Prescription Core Clinical Exercise Major Elective 3 This course is designed to learn and practice basic knowledge required for designing and preparing exercise prescription based on physiological and physical changes through exercise assessment. It also fosters ability to provide scientific and systematic exercise prescription in consideration of target and disease characteristics.
3 1 Medical Pilates I General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 Pilates is an exercise that uses chest and abdominal breathing to improve circulation primarily. It affects physical development and mental health by performing muscular exercise and stretching at once. Pilates uses mats, props, apparatus, etc., to different targets to help them learn positive effects.
3 1 Musculoskeletal Test and Functional Anatomy Core Sports Medicine Major Elective 3 The exercise program is designed to identify and solve the symptoms and causes of patient symptoms related to musculoskeletal disorders, and it fosters skills to assess physical ability and patient status. In this course, students will understand definition and method of essential elements in physical examination based on functional anatomy of body movement. The students will also learn practical knowledge that fosters practical skills that can be used in actual fields.
3 1 Exercise Injury and Damage Core Sports Medicine Major Elective 3 The increasing numbers of people participating in sports for all result in exposure to injury and damage. This course is an essential course for students in basic scientific and clinical sports medicine courses and management of athlete and people. In this course, students will understand mechanism and medical scientific definition of exercise injuries, and learn basic knowledge for establishing a rehabilitation program that delivers exercise injury prevention knowledge and solves related problems.
3 1 Athlete Training General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 This course is a theory-based practical course, and students majoring in sports medicine will learn athlete training theories.
3 1 Sports Biochemistry General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 To learn basic knowledge of exercise biochemistry and understand the biochemical process of reaction and adaptation, such as biomolecule, energy metabolism, in motor stimulation.
3 1 Exercise Psychology General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 This course introduces definition, research field, history, etc., of exercise psychology and helps students understand roles and characteristics of sports psychologists, relationship between anxiety and exercise performance, anxiety relief method, achievement and internal motivation, motivation method, attention, attributional theory, confidence, aggression, cohesion, leadership, goal setting, and psychological technique training.

3 2 Corrective Exercise General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 This course is a practical course that helps overall understanding of wrong body shape caused by postural anxiety, muscular weakness, and lack of physical activities. In this course, students will learn musculoskeletal diseases caused by malfunctional movement and imbalanced muscle due to body misalignment in order to learn detailed diagnosis, corrective strategy, and functional exercise steps for changes in body shape.
3 2 Medical Taping Core Clinical Exercise Major Elective 3 The elastic taping is a scientific product made of special elastic tape similar to human skin to enable efficient body exercise, recover pain and disease, and restore muscular function. In this course, students will understand elastic taping made based on scientific principle and anatomical joint and muscle structure as well as related techniques.

3 2 Medical Science Research Methodology Medical Science Study Major Elective 3 This course closely covers theoretical premises related to modern medical and scientific methodologies to develop critical and reflective thinking ability required to researchers. This course also includes matters from Introduction to Statistics that introduces basic statistical concepts and methodologies. The students will use Excel to work on basic statistics and analyze.

4 1 Pathologic Physiology General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 To learn basic knowledge of pathologic physiology and how body organs and systems function in case of diseases.
4 1 Sports Medicine Practice General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 This course is a field placement course, and students will work at sports medicine-related corporates, institutes, organizations, etc., for at least 200 hours (over four weeks during vacation in accordance with institute guideline).
4 1 Yoga Therapy General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 Yoga therapy uses meditation, breathing, and motion to correct imbalanced body and train body and mind. The students will observe and understand imbalanced posture to recover body balance and study the yoga motion for different body types to apply and utilize the method of approaching the field effectively.

4 2 AI and Sports Medicine Science General Exercise Guidance Practice Major Elective 3 This course introduces concepts, cases, and trend of AI and Fourth Industrial Revolution-related key technologies applied to sports medicine field.
In this course, students will learn actual examples to lower psychological barrier against the latest technologies and learn and discuss application to actual fields.
